Water Sense

water sense promotional label Water SenseWaterSense, a partnership program sponsored by EPA, seeks to protect the future of our nation’s water supply by promoting water efficiency and enhancing the market for water-efficient products, programs, and practices.

WaterSense will help consumers identify water-efficient products and programs. The WaterSense label will indicate that these products and programs meet water efficiency and performance criteria. WaterSense labeled products will perform well, help save money, and encourage innovation in manufacturing.

WaterSense is partnering with irrigation professionals, like New England Irrigation, and irrigation certification programs to promote water-efficient landscape irrigation practices. President Eric Zima and other employees of NEI are certified WaterSense partners. WaterSense is also partnering with manufacturers, retailers and distributors, and utilities to bring WaterSense products to the marketplace and make it easy to purchase high-performing, water-efficient products.

Save Money on Utility Bills

When purchasing products and services that use water, think WaterSense. When purchasing products that use electricity, think ENERGY STAR®.

Using WaterSense labeled products will save you about 20 percent of the water that average products would use. Take this conservation ethic one step further by purchasing products with the ENERGY STAR mark, which can save you about one-third on your energy bill.

By looking for the WaterSense label and the ENERGY STAR mark when making purchasing decisions, you can reduce your water and electricity bills and conserve resources for future generations.
